OUR FACILITIES
R&D INNOVATION LABORATORY
We maintain our own product development laboratory, where we use our expertise, proprietary technologies and processes to deliver the superpower of seaweed and other ocean plants in quality products for you.
The lab is co-located with the Zanzibar Fisheries and Marine Resources Research Institute (ZAFIRI), facilitating exchange and cooperation with local knowledge.
PEMBA MANUFACTURING PLANT
Production happens at our processing plant located on Pemba Island. This ensures a fresh supply of the best quality seaweed and other ocean plants for our products.
The modern plant has the capacity to process thousands of tons of seaweed per day, harvested by women farmers in close proximity to our plant, managed by our partner, the Zanzibar Seaweed Company (ZASCO).

We maintain our own R&D laboratory for product development in cooperation with the Zanzibar Fisheries and Marine Institute (ZAFIRI) and we follow stringent quality assurance protocols in our processing plant.
Fair Practices
Our seaweed is cultivated by women farmers on Pemba Island in Zanzibar. Through our partnerships with the Zanzibar Seaweed Company (ZASCO) and the Milele Zanzibar Foundation (MZF), we ensure fair pay for farmers, social development and more prosperity in the local community.
Planet-friendly Sustainability
This is not just a slogan for us because all our products depend on nature. We work closely with the local community to preserve the pristine ocean and the coastline. Nobody knows better the value of nature for a vibrant Blue Economy. Seaweed cultivation in itself is low-impact with no need for fresh water or fertiliser.
